Blood Money Boxing family, what are your thoughts on BMB’s P4P list? Who do you have on your P4P list?
BMB’s P4P for the Month of January
- Floyd Mayweather Jr.
- Timothy Bradley
- Andre Ward
- Guillermo Rigondeaux
Floyd Mayweather Jr.
No doubt Floyd Mayweather Jr. had a great 2013 on all fronts. Did a great job promoting his two fights and it showed as he broke gate record and most ppv sales in his mega fight event versus Saul Canelo Alvarez. He dominated Robert Guerrero in May of 2013 as well as Canelo, even though the score cards did not reflect that. Moving into the new year still undefeated, Floyd tops the BMB P4P list.
Underrated and under appreciated, Bradley had a powerful finish to 2013 as he out pointed legendary Juan Manuel Marquez. Earlier in the year he went to war with Ruslan Provodnikov and survived a nasty war, earning him credit as both a boxer and exciting brawler.
Only reason Andre is not #2 on this list is because he was not really active in 2013, but did earn a unanimous victory in November. SOG, who fights in similar technical and tactful fashion as Floyd Mayweather Jr, goes into fights with the goal of not getting hit and winning rounds. He is a hard man to beat, especially when we remember what he did to Chad Dawson.
Many do not have Guillermo in the top 4 P4P list. Guillermo is another one of those underrated fighters who fans yawn over due to his boxing ability and mindful approach to not getting hit in the ring. Rigondeaux remained undefeated at the end of the year earning an impressive win over Nonito Donaire and Joseph Agbeko. Look for Rigondeaux to stay undefeated through 2014.
